June 30, 2026 -- Internal Links API documentation consolidated

The Internal Links API docs have been reorganized around two canonical references: the Standard ILAPI Documentation and Crawl Settings. The former "Standard API Docs" section is now "Internal Links API Docs." Everything below either updates those two pages or removes material that conflicted with them.

Changed (API)

  • Standard ILAPI Documentation: expanded coverage of URL query parameters (canonical-URL matching, percent-encoding, query-string handling), data-extraction precedence, and the recommended server-side integration pattern with caching (24-hour TTL).
  • Crawl Settings: now documents the re-crawl schedule (weekly by default, daily at most), crawl speed, and start time; clarifies the GraphiteBot user agent string; and specifies which of the two crawler IP addresses to allowlist.

Docs

  • "Standard API Docs" section renamed to "Internal Links API Docs."
  • Endpoint path parameter documented as module_id (previously page_type_relation). Same value, clearer name — no integration changes required.
  • Retired default-fields-returned-by-crawler (inaccurate; described Enterprise behavior) and FAQs (duplicated content found elsewhere).

Removed

  • Enterprise ILAPI documentation (long unused, potentially confusing for users).
  • Old ILAPI platform-version configurations and disabled documents (never used).
  • Empty "Recipes" and "API Reference" sections.

Changes to the Internal Links API Terms

There are currently no changes to the API Terms to document. This page will be updated when changes are posted.
